In the late 1990s we played for Auckland Scottish Country Dance Balls until our busy band performance schedule took precedence.

Now, having  built in Waipu, we still have regular band bookings all over the country and have the time to perfect Scottish Country Dance sets.

We play for local clubs in the Whangarei area. Expanding our repertoire is continuous  with 19,000 dances in the Royal Scottish Country Dance repertoire and an average of 3 or 4 tunes per dance!

As members of the Waipu SCD club and financial members of the RSCDS we have good access to this incredible music and dance resource, written and online. We never cease to be amazed at discovering wonderful Scottish tunes both old and new.  

Over the years we have attended numerous Scottish and Irish music work-shops, festivals and master classes around New Zealand, in Scotland and Ireland. This is our music of choice.

Scottish Country Dance sets for dances which are devised by New Zealanders.

It is surprising how many dances are devised by New Zealanders, so we have set ourselves the task of recording 
Twisty Willow arrangements of tunes for these and making them available if clubs or individuals wish to use our music.
